During international disasters, the ELCA relies very heavily on its partnerships around the globe, providing financial aid to help trusted organizations best address the problems and minister to the people with which they are intimately familiar.

Domestic Response

During domestic disasters, the ELCA may take a more hands-on approach, both administering financial aid and by being physically present with Churchwide Domestic Disaster Response staff and the staff and volunteers of Lutheran Disaster Response (online at LDR.org). Domestic response also includes an array of partnerships in a variety of forms.
