Sunday School Rally Day and Church Picnic

We will welcome the kids back to Sunday School on Sunday, September 10th! This is a fun day for the kids as well as adults. The children will attend a quick orientation time and then come on down to Friendship Hall for games!  Our church picnic will also be held that day at noon, so you will DEFINITELY want to attend. Look for more information as the date approaches.

Confirmation Camp in Waupaca

Our Confirmation students will spend a week at the Pine Lake Camp in Waupaca June 18 - 23. This is an annual event at which the youth find new friends, engage in fun activities and worship Christ with others. This year's event is full up. Check next year if your child is a member and a confirmation student.

Our youth and families are visiting Germany June 18 - 25 for a tour to celebrate the 500th anniversary of the Reformation. This promises to be an exciting trip. We are looking forward to it!

Vacation Bible School

First Lutheran is partnering with Grace Presbyterian Church to hold Vacation Bible School June 5 - 9. The classes will be held at Grace, from 12:45pm - 2:45pm, Monday through Friday. This is a free program and is open to children who have completed 4K through 5th grade. Registration forms available soon!

Graduation Celebration

All First Lutheran 2017 Graduates are invited to join us for a special graduation celebration. 

When: Sunday, June 4, 2017 at the 10:30 am service

We will begin approximately 9:45 am with refreshments and fellowship prior to the service, gather for pictures in cap and gown, then celebrate the new journey our grads will begin.

We encourage all members to join us to show their support and encouragement for our youth as this is a special time in their lives.

St. Louis Stompers Jazz Band

A well-known jazz band, the St. Louis Stompers, will be part of the Bunny Berigan festival May 19-21. On May 21st the Stompers will lead our 8 & 10:30 worship services. They play gospel music with a jazz flair. Mike Zirpolo, known as "Mr. Trumpet", from the Stompers will talk to us at the 9:15am Adult Forum Class that day. This adds a fun flavor to our worship music for the day. Come join us!

Annual Women's Retreat

Our 2017 Women's Retreat is scheduled for April -28 at the Pine Lake Bible Camp in Waupaca. Our featured speaker will be Rev. Sue Larson. Cost for the weekend is $155; one night: $85; one day: $35. Annual Rummage and Bake Sale

Our Annual Rummage and Bake Sale will be April 20-22.  Hours are 8-5 on Thursday and Friday, and 8-noon on Saturday. All sorts of items for everyone!

The bake sale will be held on Thursday only. Shop early for the best selection! Our bag sale is Saturday the 22nd from 8-12. Thrivent will be selling fresh cookies on Saturday. We'll have a food stand available on Thursday and Friday, which will feature Johnsonville brats and sloppy joe's along with chili, chicken and dumplings and other goodies.

If you have any items to donate for the sale, they can be dropped off anytime from 9am -4pm; however, TV's or computers are not accepted. We will accept donations until Monday and Tuesday before the sale. All Rummage and Christmas items can be donated year-round. 

If you have never been to our sale before, you have to check it out!

Heroin Awareness and Use in Dodge County

Our Congregational Health Ministry Team will sponsor a program on "Heroin Awareness and Use in Dodge County, on Saturday, March 25th here at First Lutheran. Registration begins at 8:30am in Friendship Hall and the program runs from 9am - 12pm. Speakers will include Officer Meagan Scott  and her K-9 officer of the Beaver Dam Police Dept., and Jeff Margenau from the Community Awareness & Recovery Environment (CARE) department of Dodge County. This event is free and open to the public. All are welcome.
