Buy Scrip

Scrip is a continuing fundraising project that supports six areas of ministry at First Lutheran Church.  One half of the profits help youth who were the ones who started this fundraiser back in 2002, while the remaining funds many great programs at First Lutheran.  Scrip simply is a gift card the church purchases at a discounted price and sells for face value, retaining the profits to fund ministries.

The purchaser is trading cash for gift cards and there is no extra charge to the buyer.  The church’s profit typically runs between eight and ten thousand dollars per year.  The Scrip program is run by volunteers and overseen by church council. Participation is not required for membership but tax deduction advantages are available for participants.
